Manufacturing Engineer: Quality Improvements

At our Lummen site, SABCA Limburg, we are specialized in the manufacturing of high-tech composite assemblies for aircraft. On the one hand, we produce integrated
skins for flaps and stabilizers using two automatic tape-layers and very large autoclaves and of course, our colleagues’ extended know-how. In cooperation with the
Engineering office in Brussels, SABCA Limburg is also responsible for the flap track fairings of several aircraft.
On the other hand, the Space industry is also present in this plant with the final system integration of Ariane and Vega assemblies.
Tasks:
You are the internal focal point for general manufacturing issues throughout the plant. You will primarily be focused on internal RDR’s and customer NC’s on composite parts.
Your workday will consist of the following:
Lead the structured problem solving to eliminate (quality) issues; Lead workshops and support quality scrums to eliminate these issues; Support the introduced countermeasures; Process optimalization to reduce the operational cost; Actively support the operational departments to assure on time delivery to our customersProfile:
Master of Science (Industrial or Civil Eng.) (Electro-Mechanics, Mechanics, Materials, Aviation/Space, …) Min. 3 years of experience in production, engineering, manufacturing engineering Problem solving expert in low volume (composite) manufacturing Excellent analytical skills Experience with composites and composite manufacturing is a big plus Experience in Aviation and Aerospace or Automotive is a plus Knowledge of APQP/PPAP is a plus Fluent in Dutch and English Experience with CAD software, preferrable Catia and Autocad is a plusSo, What’s in it for you?
