EMS () is part of the ENGIE Group that executes specialized maintenance activities in different power plants in Belgium and Europe (mostly The Netherlands and France). Inside the Powertrain Engineering team (generators, gas- and steam turbines), we are currently looking for an extra Engineer Turbomachinery.

YOUR PROFILE as Generator Engineer:

You hold a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent by experience. You have a proven interest in generator maintenance and/or wind turbine maintenance. You have a professional knowledge of English and French/Dutch. You hold strong analytical skills, you are a problem solver and want to further develop your knowledge in the mechanical field in order to become a reference in this domain inside and outside ENGIE. You’re a true team player who works together towards common goals. You are a good communicator and are able to collaborate with various types of people: both technicians and engineers.

YOUR CHALLENGE as Generator Engineer:

You get the chance to build up knowhow, develop and maintain long-term maintenance strategies in the field of thermal & hydro maintenance (e.g. generator maintenance and technology, maintenance equipment, relevant operations aspects). It is your goal to become an expert in the field in order to support both ENGIE and non-ENGIE assets. In order to become an expert you will: ensure the day by day technical support of the different powertrain maintenance teams within EMS: 15 à 20% of your time. initiate and realize improvement and replacement projects based on technical-financial analyses (business case). carry out in the field machine conditions assessments and measurements (mechanical and electrical). develop long-term maintenance strategies follow-up and inspection of parts repairs and refurbishments Conduct Root-Cause-Analyses and define corrective and preventive actions in case of incidents or non-conformities observed during outages. play a key role in the preparation, execution and consolidation of overhauls on mechanical equipment. You constantly develop and consolidate your knowhow by driving internal return of experience processes and through participation to internal and external network events. You work as a team and in collaboration with different internal and external stakeholders.

Official location: Rodestraat 125, 1630 Linkebeek

Daily workplace: Varies: at home, on the office in Linkebeek or at ENGIE's various power plants (thermal, hydro). Depending on the projects you will move to these various locations
