Robert Bosch Produktie , located in Tienen, Belgium, is within the Bosch Group the lead plant and worldwide center of competence for development, engineering and manufacturing of wiper arms. Customers are both original equipment automotive car manufactures and aftermarket customers. As part of the Bosch strategy, we offer students the opportunity to participate in an internship at our location. Safety, Cost efficiency and quality are our focus points, and to maintain the excellent position we are at, we strive for: continuous improvement of our equipment efficiency, proactive work on process understanding and root cause analysis, introduction of new process and process automatisation to reduce manufacturing cost and introduction of new products to improve customer satisfaction
If you look for a position where you can take initiative, learn and bring added value in an industrial environment, you’re the student we are looking for. The internship will ideally last 3-6 months and can be either full-time or part-time (let us know your availability, and we’ll work something out). At present, you can work remotely.
Vacatureomschrijving
Participation in Bosch Production Systems Projects: continuous improvement work on existing production and/of logistic processes the field of Safety, Quality, Cost & Delivery. Shopfloor standardization and improvement for operation, material replenishment and changeover. Production and logistics time date management via REFA method, as basis of capacity planning, OEE calculation, VSM (value stream management) and routing. Workshop support for PGL-LLD (Lean Line Design) and PGL-FOL (Flow-Oriented Layout). Support within capacity increase and productivity increase projects of value streams, via cycle time reduction, OEE increase, work load balance and improvement, and powershift Presentation of work results in internal teams.

Student in the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, Technical Business Economics. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, attentive to detail and strong collaborative skills Applicants are expected to have excellent written and oral communication skills and experience successfully balancing multiple work streams Streamlined critical thinking skills and exceptionally organized Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint; specifically, creation of charts and graphics Some past experience that demonstrates your ability to tackle different challenges and unstructured problems Analytical thinking, problem-solving mindset and creative aptitude Enthusiastic and motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit A positive and open-minded attitude - a great sense of humor is always a plusEnjoy interdisciplinary and intercultural collaboration and understanding

The internship requires that you have the nationality of a EU-country or that you are taking part in the Erasmus program.
The personal experience of the interns is usually the following: The company employs 10-15 interns all year round from various countries. Therefore this is also a great opportunity to enhance your social and language skills. The interns live mostly in Tienen or in Leuven, known as a multicultural university city. You receive 800 € as expense reimbursement per month.
