For our Applications Team we are currently looking for a:

Sr. SW Application Engineer (Customer Success Team) 

Job description: 

You will guide and assist our customers from project start to mass production with implementation of the Qorvo IoT silicon and SW into their products. You will contribute by writing embedded SW (firmware) for these devices, ranging from small stand-alone examples to full-featured applications. Your efforts are highly visible in the product and make the difference for our customers. Our customers, including major US and EU operators, consumer electronics manufacturers and other worldwide recognized technology leaders, will look at you as the expert on the Qorvo IoT chips, IoT standards and technologies (IEEE 802.15.4, Ultra-Wideband, Zigbee, Thread, Bluetooth Low Energy, etc.). You will cooperate with engineering teams of corporate OEMs to develop IoT products from prototyping through to mass production. 

As part of the Application SW Customer Success team, you will work closely together with our customers as they integrate our Ultra-wideband, Matter, Thread, Zigbee and Bluetooth Low Energy silicon into their product. Starting from our development kits and reference applications, you will support the customer with core expertise on our SW and the standards used. You will follow up on reported bugs by reproducing and doing the first line investigation, you will develop sample applications for tier-1 customers and develop proof-of-concepts and demonstrators. You will work closely together with our marketing team during the pre-sales phase by offering technical expertise. Your focus will be on the embedded SW, either running on bare metal (no OS) or in a Linux operating system. You will be exposed to the firmware, low-level drivers and reference applications and introduce these to our customers. 

Qualifications: 

Embedded SW engineer, with solid, hands-on experience (> 5 year) in embedded C programming

Experience with multiple microcontroller platforms (ARM Cortex-M), SDKs, tools (Keil, IAR, GCC, make, CMake) as well as embedded Linux (kernel driver development, userspace applications in C) 

Experience with versioning software such as GIT 

Experience with co-debugging software and HW issues, using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, digital multimeter, etc. 

Familiar with working in a customer-oriented environment. 

Comfortable and confident with customer communication. 

Willing to travel worldwide occasionally (max. 10%) 

Problem solver, exhibits a natural tendency to anticipate on customer needs

Excellent knowledge of English, strong communicator, both in writing and speaking

Experience with standards like Ultra-wideband, Matter, Thread, Zigbee or Bluetooth is an asset
