CAD Designer

FunctieAs a CAD Designer / Engineer, you will join an international engineering and project management company based in Liege. In this position, your focus is on creating and managing technical drawings. You will be responsible for designing, drawing out and adapting technical plans and schematics using CAD software.

Function

• As a CAD Engineer you are in charge of the technical design of our projects, ranging from small improvements to large industrial constructions (mechanical, structural, piping, civil).
• Making of detailed drawings and workshop drawings in 2D & 3D in different designing programs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate technical specifications and customer needs into designs.
• Ensure optimal functionality, quality and safety of the designs.
• Perform technical calculations and analysis to ensure feasibility and performance of designs.
• Explain the designs to welders, mechanics and technicians

Profiel en vaardighedenSkills and competences:

• You are in possession of a diploma as engineer/Industrial designer or comparable through experience in the industrial sector.
• Knowledge of 2D & 3D software in one or more disciplines (piping, constructions, mechanics, civil engineering
• Knowledge and/or experience with the following drawing programs is a plus: Navisworks, Autodesk inventor, plant 3D, advanced steel, revit, cadworx, solidworkx, Sketchup, Eplan, Tekla, ...
• You are able to work fluently with creating 3D models and other technical documentation.
• You are strong in problem-solving and have an eye for detail.
• You enjoy taking on projects independently, but can also work well in a team with multidisciplinary teams: project engineers, Bim coordinator and project manager.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
• You will be working in an international organisation, so logically the internal working language is English
• Experience in the steel sector or piping is a big plus
