For our Finance division at our headquarters in Brussels (near the train station and subway, ) we’re looking for a Senior Controller (m/f/x).

Amid the ongoing expansion of our business abroad, the Management Controlling Team acts as a business challenger with the aim of increasing the value of the Fluxys Group’ investments. Through its cross-functional involvement with other teams at corporate level, the team performs a crucial interfacing role between our subsidiaries' management teams and various departments such as Affiliates & Joint Ventures, M&A, Finance, Commercial, Legal and Human Resources.

purpose

As a Senior Affiliate Controller, you will contribute to Fluxys' growth by monitoring the performance of one or more international Fluxys participations. You support the affiliates through continued process improvement. You build and sustain positive working relationships.

Your
respon­sibilities

You will monitor, improve and validate economic, financial and regulatory information from the subsidiaries. To that end, you will work closely with the subsidiary, the Affiliates & Joint Ventures department, and internal experts (e.g. Corporate Treasury, Tax, Legal) You will manage reporting and budgeting exercises, which involves playing an active part in their production and analysis, as well as regular consultations with stakeholders You will draw up the multi-year plan while ensuring it is in line with the relevant subsidiary's strategy and the company's longer-term objectives You will be responsible for modelling investment projects and providing support in the decision-making process, analyse and advise management on strategic decisions having financial repercussions ahead of board meetings You will present the results of your analyses to (senior) management You will ensure the consolidation team timely and efficiently receives relevant financial information You will actively contribute to the integration of recent international acquisitions within Fluxys Group, continuously improving reporting & control processes to maximize the value of Fluxys’ shareholdings You are actively involved in the ongoing transition to green energy

About
you

You have a master's degree, preferably in finance (business engineering, management science, business economics, MBA) You have at least five years in experience in Controlling, Audit or Finance, preferably in an international environment You have knowledge of financial reporting methods, accounting and analytical concepts You have a first experience with IFRS, modelling and SAP You have excellent analytical skills with keen eye for detail You have a desire and ability to autonomously understand, execute and explain complex analyses in a demanding environment, often juggling multiple tasks and projects You are a team player with a critical/questioning mind You are a good communicator at various levels of the organisation You are fluent in Dutch and/or French, and English. Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
