Verleg grenzen als desktop engineer
Binnen UZ Leuven is IT van strategisch belang. Wij zijn sterk geïnformatiseerd voor zowel administratieve als medische toepassingen. Voor dit alles is een machinepark geïnstalleerd van meer dan 1.000 Windows en Unix servers, 10.000+ PC clients en meer dan 15 PB aan centrale opslagcapaciteit. Integratie, automatisatie en uniformiteit zijn de belangrijkste sleutelwoorden binnen onze dienst IT.
De afdeling systeembeheer en ondersteuning van onze IT dienst staat in voor de totale IT infrastructuur van UZ Leuven. Dit omvat desktops, servers, software, netwerk, databases, storage, telefonie,…. Daarnaast zorgt de afdeling er voor dat alle bedrijfskritische toepassingen 24 uur op 24 uur beschikbaar zijn.
Wij zijn voor de afdeling systeembeheer & ondersteuning op zoek naar een voltijdse desktop engineer voor onbepaalde duur.
Hoe verleg je grenzen?
Als lid van het Front End team ben je verantwoordelijk voor het creëren van een gebruiksvriendelijke en ondersteunende IT-omgeving. Dit omvat de installatie, ondersteuning en het onderhoud van alle Windows-clients, printers, tablets, telefonie, infoschermen, ... .
Jouw takenpakket omvat:
Het bieden van ondersteuning aan medewerkers van UZ Leuven: je bent het eerste aanspreekpunt voor technische problemen en zorgt voor een vriendelijke en effectieve oplossing. We geloven in het belang van empathie en luistervaardigheid bij het ondersteunen van onze collega's. Afhankelijk van je ervaring begin je als Level 1, om vervolgens door te groeien naar Level 2 en eventueel later naar Level 3. Deze ondersteuning neemt maximaal 50% van je takenpakket in beslag en zal geleidelijk aan worden verminderd naarmate je groeit in je functie. Je speelt een actieve rol in het begeleiden van projecten en in het communiceren met de verschillende afdelingen binnen het ziekenhuis. Je neemt deelt aan projecten gericht op het verbeteren van de IT-infrastructuur en het introduceren van nieuwe technologieën binnen het ziekenhuis. Als starter werk je aan kleinere projecten om ervaring op te doen en jezelf te ontwikkelen binnen het team. De projecten worden groter naarmate je ervaring en kennis toenemen. Ervaring met Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Active Directory, PowerShell, Office 365, en andere relevante technologieën wordt gewaardeerd, maar we zijn vooral geïnteresseerd in je enthousiasme en bereidheid om nieuwe vaardigheden aan te leren.
Wat heb je daarvoor nodig?
Je beschikt over een bachelordiploma (of gelijkgesteld door ervaring). Je hebt affiniteit met IT en technologie. Je bent enthousiast, gedreven en je beschikt over zeer goede communicatieve vaardigheden. Je hebt een goede kennis van het Nederlands. Je kan zelfstandig werken en je neemt initiatief.
