For the Engineering Department at our office in Brussels (near the train station and subway, ) we’re looking for a Project Engineer (m/f/x).

The Engineering Department supports the Fluxys Operations Department by carrying out technical studies and projects. Most of these projects take place within Belgium and can involve improving or replacing existing facilities.

Last but not least, the department is also involved in innovation projects linked to the energy transition, such as Power-To-Gas, the reduction of emissions and the development of new CO2, H2 and other networks.

You will help Fluxys in its development with regard to the energy transition by taking part in innovative projects and by adopting solutions to overcome these new challenges.

Your
respon­sibilities

As a Project Engineer at Fluxys, you will participate in the engineering projects at our installations and make sure they are carried out in a pragmatic, efficient and targeted manner. In this context, you will have two major areas of responsibility: You will study and coordinate projects related to the renewal, expansion and automation of our facilities and equipmentYou will act as the Engineering Department's SPOC for project managers throughout the implementation phase You will be tasked with designing safe, reliable, user-friendly facilities that comply with current legislation and standards and fulfil technically and financially sound quality requirements You will also be involved in drawing up feasibility analyses and studies in the context of innovation projects linked to the energy transition (Power-To-Gas, reduction of emissions, biomethane injections, CO2, H2 and other networks) This cross-cutting role will allow you to forge relationships at different levels within our organisation's various departments and is therefore an ideal entry-level position for kicking off an exciting career at Fluxys Reporting directly to the Project Engineering Unit Manager, you will be based at our headquarters in Brussels

You have a Master's degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering You have two to three years' experience, preferably in an industrial environment. Applicants with experience in an E&I or project environment or in chemistry will have an advantage, though such experience is not a must You do not shy away from responsibility, and you combine professional maturity and sound analytical know-how with good communication skills You are eager to learn and have a healthy focus on results, allowing you to take on the numerous challenges involved in this role in order to then advance further within the organisation You are willing to make occasional site visits and hold a driver's licence You have an excellent command of Dutch and/or French as well as a working knowledge of the other language and English. You are prepared, if necessary, to move to a higher level in the short term
