Als wereldwijde logistieke dienstverlener combineert Katoen Natie engineering, technologie en havenactiviteiten om wereldwijd op maat gemaakte oplossingen te bieden aan de chemische en automobielindustrie en aan de sector van consumentengoederen, elektronica & retail. Katoen Natie is actief in 40 landen in Europa, Noord-Amerika, Zuid-Amerika en het Verre Oosten met meer dan 18.000 medewerkers.

Onze Business Unit biedt totaaloplossingen voor algemene vracht & grondstoffen, gebaseerd op geïntegreerde logistiek en engineering. Katoen Natie is al sinds de oprichting in 1854 betrokken bij commodities, toen het begon met de opslag en overslag van ruwe katoen. Nu behandelt de business unit General Cargo & Commodities van Katoen Natie een breed scala aan producten op haar terminals. Om deze snel groeiende business unit te ondersteunen, is Katoen Natie op zoek naar een Business Development Manager (Industrial Commodity Divisie) .

Functieomschrijving
  • Bijdragen aan de groei van onze Business Unit General Cargo & Commodities, divisie Industrial Commodity.
  • Nieuwe zakelijke kansen nastreven met de focus op wereldwijde producenten van industriële grondstoffen die hun producten importeren / exporteren via N-EU zeehavens. Bijvoorbeeld staal & metalen, dranken, onschadelijke chemicaliën, machines & projectlading, rubber & banden, bosbouwproducten, verpakking & bouwmaterialen.
  • Tekenen van langetermijnovereenkomsten en opbouwen van klantenrelaties
  • Samenwerken met accountmanagers, projectingenieurs, operationele & terminalmanagers ... enz.
  • Out of the box denken en nieuwe ideeën/kansen initiëren.
  • Toeleveringsketens van prospects analyseren en logistieke oplossingen op maat aanbieden.
  • Potentiële & lopende leads bezoeken.
  • Zakelijke beurzen bezoeken.

Functie-eisen
  • Opleiding: Master, bij voorkeur in economie, logistiek, marketing of vergelijkbaar door ervaring.
  • Taalvaardigheden: Vloeiende kennis van het Nederlands is noodzakelijk, goede kennis van het Engels en Frans.
  • Bewezen track of record in Logistieke Business Development.
  • Ervaring in General Cargo logistics, havenactiviteiten & onderhandelen met multinationals is een pluspunt.
  • Internationale mindset en bereidheid om te reizen.
  • Verkoopgedreven en analytische persoonlijkheid met doelgerichtheid.
  • Ervaring: junior max. 3 jaar & senior min. 3 jaar
