Herbosch Kiere Marine Contractors, a well-established marine construction leader with a global reach, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer , with previous experience working within the Marine Construction industry.

In this pivotal role, you’ll spearhead civil engineering projects from conception through execution, ensuring feasibility, efficient delivery, quality, on-time completion, and open communication.

Here’s what you’ll champion:

Lead Civil Project Execution: Oversee all project stages, from preliminary layouts to final engineering designs, ensuring the successful planning and design of civil engineering projects. Assess Construction Feasibility: Perform due diligence to evaluate the feasibility of various construction methods, selecting the most efficient and cost-effective approach. Manage Project Delivery: Oversee all aspects of the project, including surveyors and subcontractors on-site, to ensure timely and successful completion. Drive Project Efficiency: Perform cost estimations, prepare project budgets, and allocate resources effectively to optimize project efficiency. Deliver on Time and Budget: Develop and maintain work schedules to ensure civil engineering projects are completed on time and within budget. Guarantee Quality and Safety: Conduct inspections of completed projects to verify compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards. Maintain Transparency : Document processes meticulously and present clear project progress updates to senior managers and clients, fostering transparency and collaboration.

Do you possess the following?

5 years’ experience of marine construction and/or engineering A degree in Civil Engineering A working knowledge of marine plant and lifting equipment Some knowledge of the offshore construction industry A solid understanding of HSE standards, regulations, reporting procedures, risk assessment and method statement requirements Familiarity with planning software and running the site cost forecast The ability to work proactively within the team in generating marketing leads and maintaining client relationships

Location and Travel

This role is predominantly based at our offices in Shoreham, with travel further afield as required. We offer flexible working patterns to suit the right applicant.
