Hoe maak jij mee het verschil?

Als test expert binnen het reizigersinfoteam ben je verantwoordelijk voor het beheren en coördineren van softwaretesten voor reizigersinfosystemen. Je introduceert nieuwe methodes en technieken, en verbetert de bestaande. Door in de data te duiken over het testproces optimaliseer je tests en kan je verbeteringen doorvoeren waar de organisatie nog niet eerder aan gedacht had. 

Er liggen heel wat projecten te wachten om reizigersinformatie verder te laten groeien. Iets waar jij als volop bij betrokken zal zijn.

Wat is jouw rol bij NMBS ?

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden:

Je bent regisseur van het testgebeuren: in samenspraak met de program manager bepaal je de beste strategie om de opgeleverde software optimaal te testen in een Agile omgeving (SAFe). Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het testplan en het goede verloop van de testen. Je identificeert alle testproblemen en ziet erop toe dat die opgelost geraken. Je draait zelf ook actief mee in de ontwikkelingsteams als test engineer.  Je ondersteunt en begeleidt de projectleider bij de organisatie van de acceptatietesten. Je traint testmedewerkers en assisteert hen bij de uitvoering van de testactiviteiten. Je hebt een adviserende stem in de go/no go-beslissing voor de inproductiestelling van nieuwe software als onderdeel van een release. Je rapporteert op regelmatige basis over de voortgang van je opdrachten en levert testrapporten af.  Je zorgt ervoor dat de KPI’s op vlak van testkwaliteit worden behaald. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling en implementatie van het testproces. Je staat in voor het automatiseren en onderhouden van testscenario’s. Hierbij werk je nauw samen met de applicatie-beheerders. Je identificeert proactief (procesmatige / technische) verbeteringen met betrekking tot de teststrategie, de testtechnieken en de inrichting van de testomgeving.


Als test expert rapporteer je aan de senior manager Passenger information en werk je collegiaal met de NMBS-diensten die betrokken zijn bij de planning en informatie aan de reizigers, de infrastructuurbeheerder en andere stakeholders (bv. externe vervoersmaatschappijen). Je stuurt niet hiërarchisch een team aan. 

Waarom is deze job iets voor jou ?

Je beschikt over een bachelor- of masterdiploma, bij voorkeur informatica georiënteerd of gelijkwaardig door ervaring. 

Je beschikt over minimum 3 jaar relevante ervaring als test expert (bij voorkeur in het kader van een IT-project). Je hebt ervaring in een Agile context en weet je testaanpak hierop af te stemmen. Je beschikt over kennis en ervaring in gestructureerd testen, testmethodes en testtechnieken.  Je hebt ervaring met het opmaken van een teststrategie en testplan. Je bent vertrouwd met het opstellen van testscenario’s, het uitvoeren van functionele testen (unit, integratie, systeem, acceptatie) en niet-functionele testen (performantie, veiligheid, bruikbaarheid, compatibiliteit) en met de analyse van testresultaten en het opmaken van testrapporten. De interne klant en jouw team staan voor jou altijd centraal. Softwarekwaliteit is voor jou een absolute must & je houdt ervan om collega’s bewust te maken van het belang van testen. Je beschikt over een groot gevoel voor verantwoordelijkheid. Je bewaakt mee de scope en de deadlines van de activiteiten waaraan je werkt. Je kan je vlot uitdrukken in het Nederlands en Frans. Ook in het Engels trek je je uit de slag.


Pluspunten:

Je hebt ervaring met testautomatisering en automatisering-frameworks. Je beschikt over goede IT-vaardigheden en bent vertrouwd met het professioneel gebruik van Office-programma’s: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
