JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To supervise various heritage projects, Client a project manager with an architectural background and affinity with protected immovable heritage.
  • The project manager is responsible for the preparation, coordination and follow-up of conservation and restoration processes and ensures a structured approach to the projects, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.


The tasks consist of:

  • The development of a substantiated route plan for conservation and restoration work on buildings at three Client domains with protected heritage;
  • Supervising preliminary investigations, studies and analyses and mapping out possible maintenance and restoration scenarios;
  • Preparing substantiated advice and recommendations to support decision-making;
  • Project management tasks within restoration and construction projects, from preparation to execution phase. Monitoring the planning, budget, quality, risks and progress of the projects.
  • Coordinating and monitoring external study teams, designers and specialized partners;
  • Cooperating with the relevant infrastructure services of the school groups, including supervising the preparation, preparation and follow-up of premium and subsidy files;
  • Consultation with the heritage consultants of the Heritage Agency and other relevant stakeholders.


Requested expertise:

  • Master's degree in architect, engineer-architect or structural engineer;
  • Affinity with protected immovable heritage and experience with study and/or construction projects of immovable heritage;
  • Demonstrable experience with construction, renovation or restoration projects;
  • knowledge of and experience with project-based work and the coordination of projects;
  • Basic knowledge of project management methodologies and experience with planning, follow-up and stakeholder management;
  • Experience in managing and monitoring external engineering firms and/or project partners;
  • knowledge of public procurement legislation;
  • knowledge of the relevant legislation that is relevant in the context of heritage projects (Immovable Heritage Decree, Immovable Heritage Decree, Environmental Permit Decree, etc.);
  • knowledge of the applicable standards for school construction, including the physical and financial standard (standards decree);
  • Excellent command of Dutch (CEFR level C2).
