Our client, a prominent public sector organization, is looking for a professional to further expand and professionalize a modern cloud-based data platform. The role focuses on designing and maintaining scalable data solutions while translating reporting needs into robust data models and pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines within a modern cloud data environment.
  • Implement data integrations from various sources such as relational databases, APIs, and internal applications.
  • Manage lakehouse, warehouse, and medallion architectures with a focus on reusability and performance.
  • Translate reporting and analysis requirements into clear data models and reliable datasets.
  • Monitor and document data flows and processes to ensure continuous improvement and data quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and architects to deliver data projects from analysis to production.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • You bring 3+ years of experience with Python within a data engineering context.
  • You possess experience with Microsoft Fabric, specifically pipelines, dataflows, and notebooks.
  • You have experience with Azure cloud-based data architectures, including lakehouse or warehouse concepts.
  • You bring proficiency in SQL and query optimization.
  • You have experience with data integration from multiple source systems.
  • You possess experience supporting reporting and analytics environments.
  • You're proactive and able to work independently while contributing to team standards.
  • You are fluent in Dutch with a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with ETL processes, databases, and Spark-based processing.
  • Knowledge of medallion architecture, Kimball methodology, and datamesh concepts.
  • Experience with CI/CD, version control, and deployment of data solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality management, and lineage.
  • Experience with Power BI or working in a complex enterprise environment.
