We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to develop and maintain an Azure-based data platform. You will focus on SQL transformations, data pipelines, storage solutions, and platform optimisation, helping deliver scalable, high-quality data for analytics and reporting.


Your Tasks

  • Build, monitor, and optimise data pipelines
  • Design and improve data storage solutions
  • Develop and maintain scalable, high-performing SQL transformations.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and platform performance.
  • Collaborate with analysts and business teams to provide accessible, fit-for-purpose datasets.
  • Support data governance, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, such as Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, based on their practical value.


Your Requirements

  • Around five years of professional experience in data engineering
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms and transformation processes.
  • Good knowledge of data modelling and schema design principles.
  • Experience building efficient, scalable pipelines for large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.
  • Strong collaboration skills when working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and a practical approach to continuous improvement.
