Job Description
As a Procurement Specialist your responsibilities are there to:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials aligned with business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier agreements to achieve optimal terms.
- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and supply chain needs.
- Analyze procurement data to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making.
- Lead and support the development of procurement processes and best practices.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Procurement Specialist should have:
- Proven relevant expertise of minimum 5 years in strategic procurement within a related field to agriculture.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills for raw materials.
- Fluency in French and English (must), other languages are considered as a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a structured environment.
- Strong proficiency in software tools like Excel (must) and ERP.
- Educational background in business, economics, supply chain management, or a related field (ideally a Master degree).
