Our client is a confidential major European electricity transmission system operator (TSO), ensuring the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply and playing a central role in the Belgian and European energy transition. Within its Group Procurement organisation, the team delivers projects and defines, improves and harmonises procurement processes, driving Procurement for a sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure.
Project scope
The Procurement Process Owner is a member of the team within Group Procurement, taking clear ownership of the processes and tools they are responsible for. The role designs, implements and continuously improves assigned procurement processes and products so that they are efficient, effective and aligned with the client's business strategy, and drives transversal projects within and beyond the Procurement organisation. The role is hybrid, with onsite presence in Brussels two days per week by default.
Role overview
To own, design and improve assigned procurement processes and tools, delivering projects that drive Procurement in line with the business strategy.
Reporting line: You will report to the team within Group Procurement, interfacing with procurement and cross-functional stakeholders inside and outside the Procurement organisation.
Key responsibilities
Process design and implementation
- Design, implement and continuously improve assigned procurement processes and tools (including the P2P process), ensuring they are efficient, effective and aligned with the business strategy
- Ensure process implementation and adoption across the organisation
Projects and continuous improvement
- Lead procurement project management and drive transversal projects within and beyond the Procurement organisation
- Drive the continuous improvement of assigned processes and tools
Reporting, training and stakeholders
- Produce process reporting and performance indicators
- Deliver process training to users and manage stakeholders, communicating effectively across many different functions
- Ensure processes address risk and compliance requirements
Key deliverables
- Assigned procurement processes designed, implemented and continuously improved
- Procurement projects delivered within and beyond the Procurement organisation
- Process reporting and KPIs produced and xolzvmg improvements implemented
- Process training delivered and stakeholders aligned
Requirements
Education
Degree in a relevant discipline (procurement, business, engineering or similar), or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Must-have: Profound knowledge of procurement processes, in particular the P2P (Procure- to-Pay) process
- Must-have: Strong analytical skills and a structured, hands-on way of working
- Must-have: Stakeholder management: able to communicate effectively with many different stakeholders
- Nice-to-have: Procurement process design, continuous improvement and project management experience
