Clearance: NATO Secret or equivalent
Location: Brussels, Belgium (50% Onsite)
Duties & Role:
Lead and coordinate NATO Power BI projects, business intelligence initiatives and associated delivery activities across the full project lifecycle. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables and dependencies while coordinating priorities with NATO stakeholders, business users, data owners, technical teams and suppliers. Monitor project performance against agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk baselines, maintaining risk, issue, action, assumption, dependency and decision logs. Prepare project status reports, dashboards, governance documentation, senior briefings and decision papers. Support financial planning, budget monitoring, forecasting and resource planning activities. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including Power BI developers, architects, service management, business users and supplier resources to deliver dashboards, reports, datasets and business intelligence capabilities. Identify and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies, chair project meetings and stakeholder engagement sessions, track actions and decisions, support change control, transition to operations and project closure activities, and ensure all project documentation complies with NATO and NCI Agency governance, security and management requirements. Perform additional project-related duties as required.
The role is primarily based in Brussels, Belgium, with remote working available where authorised by the Line Manager. Occasional travel to NATO and NCI Agency locations may be required. Flexibility is expected to support governance meetings, urgent deadlines and multinational stakeholder coordination.
- Requirements:
- Active NATO Secret security clearance.
- Minimum 7 years' recent experience managing business application and business intelligence acquisition and/or development projects within large organisations.
- Extensive experience in senior project management roles within NATO, defence, government, international organisations or complex ICT environments.
- Proven experience delivering projects across the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to closure.
- Experience leading business intelligence, analytics, reporting, data or Microsoft Power BI projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, issue, dependency, resource, stakeholder and change management.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams including business users, data owners, developers, architects, service management, finance, procurement and suppliers.
- Experience producing project plans, milestone schedules, risk and issue registers, action and decision logs, governance papers and executive-level reports.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior leaders, customers, technical teams and multinational user communities.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver against challenging deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Professional project management certification such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, MSP, Agile, Scrum, SAFe or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively within collaborative, multinational teams.
- Previous experience with NATO or NCI Agency project, portfolio, governance or service management processes is desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, business intelligence delivery, data analytics, reporting platforms, data governance or data visualisation is desirable.
- Experience with ServiceNow, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams or Power BI is desirable.
- Knowledge of ITIL, service transition or service management principles is desirable.
