The Supply Chain team is responsible for bringing billions of life-saving medical devices, diagnostics tests, high-tech instruments and equipment to customers and patients all over the world. Our aim is deliver these products at an affordable cost and of the highest quality.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Global Network and Warehousing , the Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Logistics Optimization is responsible for leading activities within the Network Modeling Center of Excellence.

This role serves as a technical expert and strategic advisor, driving data-driven network design decisions that enhance service, cost efficiency, resilience, and scalability across BD's global supply chain network.

The Senior Analyst will design, analyze, and optimize end-to-end supply chain networks spanning manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, and inventory positioning. Through advanced modeling, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, this individual will translate business strategy into actionable network optimization recommendations that support BD's long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Optimization

• Leadnetworkoptimizationinitiativestoimprovecost,service,resilience,andsustainability.

• Evaluatedistributioncenterlocations,transportationflows,inventorypositioning,andcapacityrequirements.

• Assessstrategicscenariosincludingnetworkredesign,nearshoring,make-versus-buydecisions,growth,andsupplychaindisruptions.

• Developbusinesscasesandrecommendationsthatbalanceservice,cost,risk,andcarbonimpact.

Analytics & Modeling

• BuildandmaintainnetworkoptimizationandsimulationmodelsusingtoolssuchasCoupa/LLamasoftSupplyChainGuru,Python,SQL,andExcel.

• Analyzecomplexdatasetsandtranslateinsightsintoclear,actionablerecommendations.

• Continuouslyimprovemodelingapproaches,dataquality,andanalyticalcapabilities.

Strategic Decision Support

• PartnerwithSupplyChain,Operations,Finance,Procurement,IT,andCommercialteamsonstrategicinitiatives.

• Supportlong-termnetworkplanning,capitalinvestmentdecisions,andbusinesstransformationprojects.

• Developexecutive-readyanalyses,scenariocomparisons,andrecommendationsforseniorleadership.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Maintainnetworkdesignstandards,assumptions,anddatagovernancepractices.

• Createreusabletoolsandframeworkstoimproveefficiencyandconsistency.

• Supportknowledgesharingandcontinuousimprovementacrosstheorganization.

About You

• Bachelor'sdegreeinSupplyChain,Logistics,Engineering,Business,OperationsResearch,orarelatedfield(Master'spreferred).

• 7–10yearsofexperienceinsupplychainnetworkdesign,logisticsoptimization,operationsresearch,consulting,orarelatedanalyticalfield.

• Experiencesupportingcomplexregionalorglobalsupplychainnetworksanddevelopingnetworkoptimizationmodelsandbusinesscases.
