Business Controller

We are looking for a driven Business Controller who wants to become a true partner to the business, someone who transforms financial data into insights, challenges decisions, improves performance and helps shape the future direction of the organisation.

Your role
As Business Controller, you will be the link between finance and the wider organisation. You will combine financial expertise, analytical thinking and business understanding to support better decision-making.
Your responsibilities include:
Performance Management & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and operational teams.
- Translate financial results into clear business insights and recommendations.
- Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support strategic decisions through data-driven analysis.
Reporting, Forecasting & Planning
- Lead monthly management reporting and performance reviews.
- Analyse revenue, margins, costs, profitability and operational KPIs.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and scenario analyses.
- Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
Financial Analysis & Business Cases
- Build business cases for investments and strategic initiatives.
- Analyse ROI, profitability and cost optimisation opportunities.
- Support decision-making around growth projects and operational improvements.
Process & Data Improvement
- Improve reporting processes and financial tools.
- Work with ERP systems and BI solutions to increase transparency.
- Develop dashboards that provide management with actionable insights.
Who are we looking for?
You are a curious, ambitious finance professional who enjoys being close to the business.
You bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar.
- Several years of experience in controlling, FP&A, audit or financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate numbers into business recommendations.
- Excellent Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and Power BI is a strong advantage.
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
Experience in manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, technology or an international environment is a plus.
