Archipelago

We are a research-driven architecture practice with offices in Brussels, Leuven, Paris, and Barcelona.

Through the continuous evolution of our organization, we have built up a diverse portfolio of projects in Belgium and abroad, recognized with recent awards for an innovative and sustainable approach, including AZ Diest – European Healthcare Award 2026, Henry van de Velde Design Research Award 2025, and Greenpeace Belgium – Future Climate Award 2024.

For our team in Belgium, we are looking for an architectural visualizer who wants to help shape large-scale projects. Somebody who wants to grow by working on large, complex projects, enjoys learning from colleagues, but also bring own fresh ideas to the table.

This is a Belgium-based, in-person position. We are looking for candidates who are based in Belgium or in a neighbouring country and are able to work regularly from our Belgian office. This is not a remote position.

Please do not apply if you are looking for a fully remote role or are unable to work from Belgium on a regular basis.

Who You Are

· Previous experience in architectural visualization across different scales, including interior, exterior, and aerial views.

· Strong command of 3D software rendering tools, e.g. 3Ds Max, Chaos Corona, D5, combined with a refined sense of space, composition, materiality, and atmosphere.

· Strong proficiency in Revit & SketchUp.

· Experience using AI tools to generate and enhance architectural imagery.

· Experience in creating architectural animations and video presentations, including camera paths, sequencing, post-production, and editing to effectively communicate design concepts.

· Ability to distinguish between competition level imagery, design development visuals, and internal exploratory studies, and adapt output accordingly.

· Highly collaborative, comfortable working closely with multidisciplinary teams, and proactive in improving shared workflows.

· Able to perform under tight deadlines, especially in competition contexts, while maintaining clarity and consistency in output

· Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset.

What You'll Be Doing

· Design support and iteration: Develop fast and flexible 3D studies to support early design decisions, allowing rapid testing of spatial ideas, materials, lighting, and composition.

· High-quality visualization: Produce compelling architectural visualizations that reflect the intent of each project, with a strong focus on atmosphere, narrative, and architectural clarity rather than generic visual output.

· Animation and video production: Create architectural animations and short videos to communicate design concepts, project narratives, and competition proposals through engaging visual storytelling.

· Collaboration with graphic design: Work closely with the graphic designer to translate diagrams, schemes, and conceptual drawings into coherent 3D representations where appropriate, ensuring visual consistency across all communication materials.

· Visual language development: Contribute to the evolution of a shared visual identity within Archipelago and its research circles by maintaining consistency in quality, atmosphere, and storytelling across projects.

· Workflow and innovation: Explore and integrate new tools and methods, including AI-assisted workflows, rendering techniques, and emerging visualization technologies.

· Asset and library development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal 3D assets, material libraries, and reusable models to improve efficiency and consistency across teams.

· Knowledge sharing: Foster an internal learning culture by sharing expertise, workflow tips, and best practices through informal guidance, train
