We are looking for a Senior OPS Security Engineer to support firewall and proxy filtering services in a highly regulated enterprise IT environment.

Work setup: Hybrid – Brussels, 50% on-site and 50% homeworking.

Responsibilities:

Manage and validate daily firewall flow requests in line with security policies.
Implement and maintain firewall rules across enterprise security environments.
Investigate and resolve firewall-related incidents and security policy issues.
Contribute to project teams with firewall, network security, and architecture expertise.
Optimize firewall policies and ensure configurations remain compliant and documented.
Process requests according to internal security rules, risk controls, and change management processes.
Perform detailed analysis and provide evidence for audits, flow recertifications, and reporting activities.
Work in an Agile environment and collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Must-have requirements:

At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a firewall environment.
Proven experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS, cloud micro-segmentation, and firewall rule implementation.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto or Fortinet technologies.
Experience in firewall policy optimization and incident resolution.
Knowledge of security, networking, and architecture principles.
Experience with ServiceNow ITSM.
MS Excel skills for automated reporting, ideally with VBA or Python.
Knowledge of Agile methodology.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Certifications such as PCNSA, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA.
English mandatory.
