As part of key AI and Data Transformation initiatives in Belgium, eXalt is looking for experienced Business Analysts with a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and Analytics to support enterprise-level projects in industries such as banking, insurance, energy, and transportation.

🎯 Your mission: act as the crucial link between business stakeholders, data scientists, AI engineers, and IT teams to drive the successful design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions.

📋 Your Responsibilities:

- Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into well-defined requirements for AI, machine learning (ML), or data-driven applications (e.g., use cases, functional specs, user stories, feature definitions, KPIs)
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders and AI teams to define objectives, boundaries, and business metrics for AI use cases
- Collaborate with data scientists to frame business problems as ML models or algorithm-driven solutions
- Evaluate AI feasibility with a business lens and build documentation that bridges technical and non-technical audiences
- Contribute to model explainability, data quality assessment, and validation strategies from a functional perspective
- Monitor integration between AI models and business processes, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and compliance (GDPR, ethics, transparency)
- Drive change management by helping stakeholders understand and adopt AI-powered tools and insights
- Depending on the context, take part in coordination activities such as planning, roadmap definition, or steering committees

👤 What You Bring:

- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields
- **4 to 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in digital, IT, or innovation environments, with experience working on AI, Data, or Advanced Analytics projects**
- Strong knowledge of AI and Data concepts: machine learning lifecycle, model outputs, evaluation metrics, explainability, data pipelines, etc.
- Ability to convey technical concepts (model limitations, confidence levels, etc.) in a clear, accessible way to business audiences
- **Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA/Confluence**
- Familiarity with SQL, data visualization (Power BI, Tableau…), or basic scripting is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills to work across interdisciplinary teams (Product, Data, Engineering, Business)
- Based in or near Brussels; hybrid or on-site depending on project needs
- **Languages: fluent in either French or Dutch (C2 level minimum), and full working proficiency in English**
