We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Designer with deep expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for both hands-on implementation and strategic architecture design.

You'll work closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, design data models, and provide strategic input on data architecture using the latest Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and development of data solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Engineering.

Design, implement, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.

Develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports with complex data models and DAX calculations.

Advise on data architecture, cloud infrastructure, and technology best practices to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical designs.

Integrate various data sources, including SQL databases, Data Lakes, APIs, and third-party tools into cohesive solutions.

Oversee and mentor junior data engineers while maintaining a hands-on approach to development.

Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met across all data solutions.

Drive innovation by staying current with new technologies and trends in data engineering and cloud architecture.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data engineering - focus on Power BI, Azure Data Engineering, and Microsoft Fabric.

Expertise in building data models, dashboards, and reports in Power BI.

Strong experience with Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Data Lake, and Databricks.

Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development.

Proficiency in DAX, T-SQL, and data modeling in Power BI and Azure.

Experience advising on and designing cloud data architectures and integrating them with Business Intelligence solutions.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design innovative and scalable solutions.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Azure Data Engineering, or related technologies are a plus.

Nice to have

Experience with Microsoft Fabric and its suite of tools for data integration, data governance, and real-time analytics.

Familiarity with Machine Learning and AI integrations within Azure environments.

Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role within data teams
