Context of the mission/Objective(s) of the job

In the scope of the evolution of the client's IT, we are actively looking for an external experienced data integration engineer / integration layer developer. He will be integrated in one of our Data Product teams.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an Enterprise Data Architect who will be a member of one of the Data Product team. Supporting their product as well as the whole Enterprise Data Architecture chapter by

Being the front runner of their product, discussing technical solutions with new initiatives in the Group.

Supporting the design of Enterprise Data Architecture Blueprints,

Validating, and improving each blueprint by actively participating in the product development,

Scoping information domains and defining data products

Generating business value for the product team.

The consultant will align the business world and the technology world to reach the strategic targets.

The consultant will align the data platform architecture view with the data product team.

From an overarching and data-centric point-of-view, the consultant will guide integration, quality enhancement and successful data delivery:

o Overarching across the client Group;

o In the context of data management, overarching by orchestrating data, technology, infrastructure, business processes, people and organization.

The consultant will advocate and push adoption of the data platform as well as the data product team you're working for.

In collaboration with the subject matter experts, the consultant will design enterprise data architecture blueprints for data capabilities and enablers that support engineers working for the product

The consultant will create and refine an aligned and commonly recognized Data Domain Map

The consultant will help to prioritize and focus data management, data governance, and data quality-improvement initiatives.

The consultant will help designing the Transversal Data Model (TDM) and Canonical Data Model (CDM) to structure business data through a conceptual viewpoint independent of any present realization by real systems.

The consultant will drive Proof of Concepts that contribute to evaluating and validating the most suitable option for the Enterprise Data Architecture Blueprint.

Requirements

8+ years designing Data Integrations within the Enterprise and with external parties, bridging Cloud and on-premises systems

4+ years defining Business Domains, Data Domains and/or Application Domains

4+ years designing Data Models

Language skills: fluent in English AND in at least one of the following languages: Dutch, French or German

Master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics

10+ years designing Solutions and Blueprints as a cross-domain Enterprise Architect

7+ years establishing best practices, methodologies, frameworks, principles, policies and processes

Experience with messaging systems and/or Event Driven Architecture

Experience designing data intensive API and RESTful architecture

Some experience designing Master Data Management solutions (optional)

Some experience implementing Big Data and Data Lake (optional)

3+ years developing data-focused products (optional)

Some experience working on data-mesh based Architectures (optional)
