For a global customer in Brussels, we are searching for a Enterprise Architect for a greenfield project setting up a regional IT department from scratch. As Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for designing and driving the enterprise-wide IT architecture for the customer. You will create a pragmatic application and integration roadmap for the next 12-24 months, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational needs, and Group standards. ResponsibilitiesDesign and own the enterprise architecture vision for a newly established regional IT departmentDevelop and maintain a 12-24 month application roadmap, aligned with business strategy and operational prioritiesDefine and implement a robust integration layer to connect existing and future applications in a structured, scalable wayAssess current tools, processes, and shadow IT, and rationalize them into a coherent target architectureEstablish architecture principles, standards, and governance suitable for a growing IT organizationWork closely with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into architectural solutionsSupport technology selection, solution design, and early implementation phasesContribute to building the foundations of the IT function, including documentation, processes, and ways of working ProfileProven experience as an Enterprise Architect in complex or distributed environmentsDemonstrated experience setting up IT environments from scratch (greenfield projects are essential)Strong background in application architecture and system integrationAbility to operate at both strategic and hands-on levelsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsFluency in English, French and Dutch (all 3 required)Builder mindset - comfortable with ambiguity and starting from a blank pagePragmatic and business-oriented, not overly theoreticalStructured, autonomous, and proactiveStrong sense of ownership and accountability Additional details Seniority: SeniorStart Date: 1st March LatestDuration: 6 MonthsExtension: TBCContract: FreelanceMain Office Location: BrusselsOnsite Policy: 3 days per weekHours Per Week: 40Languages: Fluent Dutch, French and EnglishInterview Process: 1 stage
