NTT Data is currently looking for a Senior Frontend Developer for one of our clients in the public sector based in Brussels. This role will be performed in a hybrid mode (3 days onsite and 2 days working from home).
One of the profiles we're looking for is a senior front end developer/engineer, specialised in Angular 2+. Website development is not considered relevant experience, with the exception of web portals or online shops. If you are a Full-stack Developer, you have experience in the Java programming language with at least 4 years experience with Java SE10+ (required) and you have done at least 6 years of full-time front-end development in the last 10 years (required) or at least 8 years of front-end development at 80% (4/5) time (required).

You will form a team with other experienced, highly competent and motivated people. You will also always be able to call on the knowledge and skills of our senior architects.

Your responsibilities
  • As an experienced front-end engineer/developer with expertise in the Angular framework and in-depth experience in integrating RESTful services, you're passionate about building modern, scalable web applications. Your skills will enable you to design and develop seamless, modern and responsive user interfaces, leveraging the power of Angular and the capabilities of RESTful services
  • You are able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members to streamline the integration of MicroServices into the front-end and ensure a seamless user experience
  • You are able to translate designs and wireframes into well-structured documents, semantic and reusable code. You know how to implement the latest front-end technologies and best practices, taking into account the capabilities and limitations of different browsers and devices
  • You are familiar with best practice in terms of structuring code and optimising front-end architecture for a better user experience
  • You have a good knowledge of API implementation, data flow processing and state management in the application
  • You are constantly keeping up to date with the latest developments
  • Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges and propose effective solutions
  • You enjoy working in a team and are able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in order to fully understand and respond to project needs
  • Although you work as part of a team, you are mature enough to work independently and proactively
  • You actively collaborate with UX/UI designers and other internal stakeholders, providing feedback on the feasibility of designs and data that can be used to further optimise graphical designs
  • You correctly estimate architecture and data models and discuss them with colleagues and stakeholders

Profile
  • A degree in IT is desirable, but actual experience is more essential
  • Continuously updating to keep abreast of the latest trends in sustainable development and environmental protection
  • Innovations in user interface development
  • Preferably +10 years' practical experience in front-end application development
  • Preferably 6 years' practical experience with the Angular 2+ framework
  • Preferably 6 years' practical experience with TypeScript
  • Preferably 6 years' practical experience with JavaScript
  • Preferably 6 years' practical experience of developing single-page applications
  • Preferably 6 years practical experience in front end API consumption/unlocking
  • Preferably 5 years' practical experience in front-end MicroServices architecture (development and integration)
  • Preferably 5 years' practical experience in the development of web portals based on web portal technology (Drupal, liferay, etc.) or via the Angular 2+ framework
  • Preferably 5 years' experience as a front-end architect (designing front-end solutions)
  • Preferably 5 years' practical experience in developing and optimising library components for a Design System
  • Preferably 5 years' practical experience in developing cloud-native front-end applications
  • Preferably 5 years' experience of working (together) in agile delivery teams,
  • Ability to propose alternative solutions and make recommendations on the choices to be made, taking into account the whole context
  • Good listening skills, flexible attitude and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge and practical experience of API definition and development is an absolute asset
  • Knowledge and practical use of Java SE10+ is an absolute advantage,
  • Knowledge and experience of event-driven systems and architecture is an absolute advantage
  • Knowledge and practical experience of UX/UI design is an advantage
  • Knowledge and practical experience of design tools is an advantage
  • Knowledge and practical experience of integrating existing federal services and modules is an absolute bonus
