    For more than 30 years, they have focused on discretionary asset management and estate planning. They are managing around EUR 11 billion in assets with a team of enthusiastic and dynamic employees, operating across Belgium and Luxembourg.

    To reinforce their management team, they're currently looking for a driven Chief Compliance and risk officer.

    Job Description

    The Chief Risk and Compliance officer role is an independent function at executive level with a transversal focus on applying risk and control framework as well as respecting internal procedures and policies to protect the reputation and integrity of the company. It will include operational risk management, compliance, and anti-money laundering.

    The Chief Risk and Compliance officer will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the compliance and risk management functions at the Group across Belgium and Luxembourg.

    This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management practices within the financial services industry. The successful candidate will ensure that the company adheres to all relevant laws and regulations, while also proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks, being the main point of contact for regulated authorities.

  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
Ensure the company complies with all applicable regulatory requirements, including those set forth by financial authorities.Monitor and interpret regulatory changes, advising senior management on necessary adjustments.Risk Management:Oversee the development and implementation of risk management strategies and frameworks.Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across the organization.Develop and monitor key risk indicators and control measures to mitigate identified risks.Leadership and Strategy:Lead and mentor the compliance and risk management teams.Collaborate with other senior leaders to integrate compliance and risk management into the overall business strategy.Provide regular reports to the executive team and board of directors on compliance and risk matters.Being an active member of the board in BelgiumTraining and Awareness:Develop and contribute training programs to enhance employee understanding of compliance and risk management.Foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness throughout the organization.Internal Controls:Implement and oversee effective internal control systems.Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of any identified issues.Conduct regular reviews and assessments of compliance and risk management processes.Stakeholder Engagement:Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and other external stakeholders on compliance and risk issues.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry peers.

The Successful Applicant

Master's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CAMS) preferred.A minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance and risk management within the financial services industry.Proven track record of developing and implementing successful compliance and risk management programs.In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and risk management frameworks.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent leadership and team management abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity and ethical standards.Approved already by national bank with compliance certification
