Als wetenschapper zal je samenwerken met de Advanced Material Characterization and Investigations (AMCI) groep binnen AD. AMCI is een internationaal en divers multidisciplinair team van wetenschappers dat zich bezighoudt met geavanceerde karakterisering en mechanistisch begrip van onze geneesmiddelsubstanties en geneesmiddelproducten en dat ook leiding geeft aan analytisch onderzoek voor de commerciële en O&O-portfolio.

Binnen AMCI is het Advanced Molecular Analysis (AMA) team een groep van analytische uitmuntendheidscentra op het gebied van structuuropheldering (door middel van hoge-resolutie massaspectrometrie en NMR), organische sporenanalyse, hulpstof- en polymeerkarakterisering en analyse van oligonucleotiden en peptiden.

We zijn momenteel op zoek naar een bekwame en enthousiaste Analytische Chemicus, gespecialiseerd in massaspectrometrie die kan samenwerken met het AMA-team en kan bijdragen aan onze voortdurende inspanningen op het gebied van, voornamelijk, MS-gebaseerde structuuropheldering. In deze laboratoriumfunctie werk je aan de identificatie van onzuiverheden en afbraakproducten uit de processynthese ter ondersteuning van onze R&D-portefeuille. De functie is gebaseerd in Antwerpen (Beerse), België. 

belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden

  • Leveren van hoogwaardige massaspectrometrische ondersteuning voor een verscheidenheid aan synthetische molecuulproducten (waaronder ook peptiden, oligonucleotiden, enz.) in de portfolio.
  • Deelnemen aan de ondersteuning van diverse onderzoeken van de J&J ontwikkelings- en commerciële portefeuille met behulp van geavanceerde hoge-resolutie massaspectrometers en andere analytische apparatuur.
  • Zelfstandig werken met een hoge mate van productiviteit om uitdagende analytische problemen op te lossen, inclusief het vermogen om te jongleren met concurrerende prioriteiten.
  • Gegevens en rapporten over de projectstatus presenteren tijdens individuele, groeps- en afdelingsvergaderingen.
  • Een veilige werkomgeving handhaven in overeenstemming met alle toepasselijke milieu-, gezondheids-, regelgevings-, GMP- en veiligheidsvoorschriften.

    jouw aanbod

    • Een PhD in (Analytische) chemie, biochemie of verwant vakgebied OF een masterdiploma in chemie, biochemie of verwant vakgebied met 3 jaar relevante ervaring is vereist. 
    • Praktische ervaring met hoge-resolutie massaspectrometrie is vereist.
    • Ervaring met op massaspectrometrie gebaseerde structuuropheldering van kleine moleculen is wenselijk.
    • Expertise in gaschromatografie - massaspectrometrie en/of kennis van extraheerbare en uitloogbare testen is een pluspunt.
    • Hands-on ervaring in het oplossen van problemen met laboratoriuminstrumenten en -apparatuur is een voordeel.
    • Je kan werken op de site in Beerse. Sporadisch thuiswerk is mogelijk.
