IT GIS Technical Project Manager Expert @ DMOW (Vlaanderen Connect)

Het DMOW van de Vlaamse overheid is een veelzijdige organisatie die zich inzet voor een veilige, slimme en duurzame mobiliteit. DMOW ondersteunt het beleid van de minister op het gebied van mobiliteit, verkeersveiligheid en het beheer en de ontwikkeling van transport- en haveninfrastructuur. Het departement combineert beleidsvoorbereiding, uitvoering en coördinatie om bij te dragen aan een samenleving waarin beweging centraal staat.

De functie binnen het DMOW is van strategisch belang voor het realiseren van de missie en visie van de organisatie. De focus ligt op het ondersteunen van de organisatie bij het bereiken van haar doelstellingen, met aandacht voor innovatie, efficiëntie en duurzaamheid.

De functie draagt bij aan de ontwikkeling van strategieën en oplossingen die inspelen op de complexe uitdagingen binnen mobiliteit en infrastructuur in Vlaanderen. Daarbij is er een sterke nadruk op samenwerking, zowel intern binnen de organisatie als extern met relevante stakeholders.

Door een brede en toekomstgerichte benadering speelt de functie een sleutelrol in het waarborgen van een moderne en veerkrachtige organisatie die voorbereid is op de uitdagingen van morgen.

Ervaring en achtergrond

  • Minimaal 7 jaar ervaring in een gelijkaardige functie, waarvan minstens 3 jaar in de GIS-sector.
  • Sterke achtergrond in geografische informatie systemen (GIS).
  • Ervaring met de technische aspecten van GIS-platformen, zoals:
  • Kennis van datagovernance en projectmanagementmethodologieën zoals Prince2.
  • Ervaring met cloudomgevingen, bij voorkeur AWS.
  • Brede GIS-kennis: Ervaring met zowel GIS-desktoptools als het beheer van een opensource GIS dataplatform.
  • Technisch leiderschap: In staat om een technisch team aan te sturen bij de uitbouw en het beheer van GIS-platformen.
  • Cloudkennis: Ervaring met cloudomgevingen, bij voorkeur AWS.
  • Communicatievaardigheden: Sterke mondelinge en schriftelijke communicatieve vaardigheden, zowel met technische teams als met zakelijke belanghebbenden.
  • Probleemoplossend vermogen: Proactief in het identificeren van technische uitdagingen en het vinden van effectieve oplossingen.
  • Projectmanagement: Ervaring met projectmanagementtools en methodologieën zoals Jira en Prince2.
  • Flexibiliteit: Aanpassingsvermogen en bereidheid om verantwoordelijkheid te nemen in een dynamische werkomgeving.
  • Klantgerichte benadering: Vermogen om de behoeften van de business te begrijpen en technische oplossingen te vertalen naar de juiste platformen.
  • Teamwork: Sterk samenwerkingsvermogen in een multidisciplinair team.

Het Departement Mobiliteit en Openbare Werken biedt een dynamische werkomgeving waarin je bijdraagt aan projecten met een grote maatschappelijke impact, zoals mobiliteitsknooppunten en het verbeteren van infrastructuur. Als IT GIS Technical Project Manager Expert word je als bediende aangeworven voor een contract van onbepaalde duur, via Vlaanderen connect. Deze entiteit staat in voor de rekrutering van strategische ICT-functies en stelt hen ter beschikking van haar leden-overheidsorganisaties.
