Preferred base: Belgium or the Netherlands | Scope: Northern Europe Are you a strategic legal professional looking to make a real impact across multiple countries in an international industrial environment? Dehon Group is recruiting a Legal Counsel to support our subsidiaries across Northern Europe (Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and overseas activities). In this role, you will act as a true Business Partner to operational leaders, contributing directly to decision-making while ensuring legal compliance and risk management across the region. About Dehon Group Dehon Group is an international industrial group specializing in refrigeration solutions, technical fluids, and environmental services. With operations in multiple countries, the Group combines strong technical expertise with a long-term vision grounded in human values, responsibility, and sustainable development. Our legal function plays a key role in supporting growth while safeguarding the Group's interests in a complex regulatory environment. Your Mission Reporting to the Group Legal Department, you will: Provide pragmatic legal advice to management and operational teams on business law matters Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts in close collaboration with subsidiary Directors Anticipate and mitigate legal risks while ensuring regulatory compliance (including GDPR and ESG-related topics) Manage legal files related to contracts, disputes, and regulatory frameworks Inform and train internal stakeholders on legal topics and evolving regulations Coordinate with external legal advisors and report risks and activities to the Group Legal team Your Profile Master's degree in Business Law or equivalent Around 7 years' experience in a similar in-house legal role, ideally in an industrial and multicultural environment Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a strong asset Solid knowledge of Belgian law and contract law Familiarity with Dutch and German legislation is a plus Exposure to compliance topics (IT/cybersecurity, ESG) is appreciated but not the core focus of the role Autonomous, diplomatic, proactive, and comfortable operating with a high level of independence while building trusted relationships across functions Location & Mobility The role is open to candidates based in Northern Europe. However, due to regular collaboration with local teams, we strongly prefer candidates based in Belgium or the Netherlands, with the ability to visit one of our offices on a regular basis.
