In a rapidly evolving regulatory and financial landscape, the ability to build efficient reporting and data intelligence capabilities is crucial for ensuring financial stability and compliance. We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong understanding of risk data management, capable of designing and implementing robust data solutions for regulatory and risk reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Data Infrastructure Development: Design and implement scalable, automated data pipelines for risk and regulatory reporting.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure data processes align with regulatory requirements (BCBS 239, data governance, and quality standards).
- Data Quality & Reconciliation: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between reporting systems and data sources.
- Governance & Documentation: Establish policies for data governance, maintain data lineage, dictionaries, and metadata documentation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring reporting solutions meet risk management needs.
- Technology & Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and risk analytics.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in the financial sector.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and risk data management.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, CRR2, Basel IV).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex data-related problems.
- Ability to work independently in a results-driven environment.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Experience with data modeling tools (PowerDesigner, Visio, Collibra).
- Knowledge of credit risk calculations and reporting methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern data architecture best practices.
