We are looking for a fixed period (1 year contract with possibility of renewal) for a Lead Buyer (m/f/x) within the Refining & Chemical Branch of TotalEnergies at the Antwerp Platform.
If you are dynamic, interested in negotiations, launching & managing tenders and managing commercially associated contracts, this job can be yours
The jobholder will need a full understanding of local & internal providers together with applicable cost structure and market trends. She/He establishes that the three important Platform's pillars (safety – environment – quality) are implemented following the valid procedures and regulations. She/He ensures best purchases for the request made by internal customers: best value for money.
Your missions:
- Organize and control all process-based activities relating to its category(ies) including overall strategies review, pre-qualifications, tender list development and analysis, contract and commercial negotiations and the preparation of contractual documentation up to finalization.
- Manage the portfolio of contracts to ensure business continuity and proactively work with relevant internal stakeholders to build and maintain relationships with contractors/suppliers and monitor their performance by participating in contract performance management activities.
- Actively contribute to cost savings without compromising safety or quality.
- Comply with all applicable Procurement rules, governance and process and utilize approved standard contract documentation and ensure compliance with standard contracting principles during negotiations.
- Mitigate risk through pro-active management and negotiation of contractual disputes. Support settlement of claims, in conjunction with senior management and Legal, by proposing strategies and actions and by participating in negotiations.
- Contribute to the process of continuous improvement, including participation in and promotion of Lean initiatives when required and adoption and sharing of best practice. Pave the way toward a sustainable supply chain.
Profil du candidat
- You have a degree in Commercial Engineering. A first experience in oil industry procurement specialty is a plus.
- You have at least two years' experience.
- You can collaborate cross‐functionally with other departments in a dynamic business environment.
- You can challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers and other stakeholder representatives to influence decisions or ways of working.
- You are rigorous and like to work as well autonomously as in a team.
- You are fluent in both Dutch and English, French is a plus.
