Vacature omschrijving Als lead software engineer sta je mee aan het roer bij het (ver)bouwen van IT- oplossingen voor onze retailbusiness (bv. logistiek, winkels,…) in een complex en gevarieerd IT-landschap. Klaar om mee je schouders te zetten onder onze projecten en software op te leveren waar onze eindgebruikers écht blij van worden? Jouw takenpakket als Lead software engineer: Je bent de lijm tussen de IT architect en analist enerzijds, en een team van developers anderzijds: je tekent softwareoplossingen uit, in lijn met de requirements en de architectuur. De voor jou relevante technologieën blijf je volgen om up-to-date te blijven. Je maakt een realistische work breakdown structure en coördineert de werkverdeling tussen de developers op verschillende platformen (bv. Java, Mainframe, Powercenter, Android, Webmethods, ERP systemen, Azure,…). Je stimuleert daarbij de onderlinge samenwerking en zorgt voor goede afspraken. Je begeleidt de ontwikkeling van applicatie- en data-integraties, bewaakt het technisch design en staat in voor de kwaliteit van de onderdelen én het geheel. Zo werken componenten in verschillende technologieën en platformen naadloos met elkaar samen. Je behoudt een overkoepelend zicht op de werking van de oplossing, de ins en outs en de dataflows. Loopt er iets fout of kan er iets beter? Dan weet je altijd helderheid te scheppen en zoek jij mee naar een oplossing. Opleiding en ervaring – Je hebt een bachelor- of masterdiploma in IT, enkele jaren ervaring in Java software development en goesting om je blik te verbreden. Analytisch vermogen – Je onderscheidt vlot hoofd- van bijzaken en begrijpt snel hoe systemen aan elkaar gelinkt zijn. Zo ken je de impact van een bepaalde ingreep op de operationele processen. Communicatief – Je kan jouw inzichten en suggesties helder overbrengen om samen met je team tot gedragen oplossingen te komen. Leergierig – Je ontwikkelt graag je kennis en bent nieuwsgierig naar vernieuwingen in de IT-wereld. Talen – Je communiceert vlot in het Engels en het Nederlands, zodat je met al je collega's, partners en stakeholders goed kan samenwerken. Je werkt vanuit Halle, Zwijnaarde of Haasrode en kan tot drie dagen per week thuis werken. Impact – Je speelt een cruciale rol in de performante en stabiele werking van onze software, in een van de grootste corporate IT-afdelingen van België. Ontwikkeling – Je technische skills kan je aanscherpen op vakbeurzen, via een online leerplatform of via onze communitywerking.
