Job Description – Data AnalystIntroductionWe are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst / Power BI Developer who combines strong functional analysis skills with hands-on dashboard development. In this role, you will work closely with product owners, data engineers and data architects to deliver high-quality data products and user-friendly dashboards. You act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team, think critically, and help professionalize the team's way of working within a growing data environment.TasksTranslate refined business requirements into clear functional analyses, mockups and design documentation.Collaborate with product owners, engineers and architects to validate assumptions, clarify requirements and ensure technical designs align with intended business outcomes.Identify inconsistencies, challenge ambiguity and safeguard functional coherence throughout delivery.Build high-quality, consistent and user-friendly Power BI dashboards based on completed datasets and dataflows.Perform functional testing and support overall quality validation.Contribute to improving standards, documentation practices and delivery processes within the team.Operate autonomously within a multidisciplinary team and integrate smoothly into complex stakeholder environments.RequirementsMust-havesMinimum 5 years of experience in functional analysis, business & technical communication, consultancy, critical thinking and autonomous working.Strong experience in Power BI dashboard development, UX best practices, BI delivery lifecycle and mockup/prototype creation.Solid knowledge of data modelling (star schema), DAX, SQL reading/validation and the end-to-end reporting chain.Experience with data quality principles, functional testing, structured documentation and handling sensitive personal data.Fluent in Dutch, French and English.Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in complex organizational settings.Nice-to-havesFamiliarity with Azure data platform components.Understanding of data product concepts and governance/documentation standards.Experience working with Finance, Operations or HR domains, including KPI frameworks.
