Mission TitleProject Manager – Life Insurance Commercial Projects & Product ManagementMission GoalAs Regulatory Product & Project Manager, you will lead cross‑functional initiatives ensuring Athora Belgium’s life insurance products, systems, and processes comply with evolving regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II, IDD, ESG, AML). Beyond project delivery, the role emphasizes product adaptation and development—making sure offerings, customer documentation, and journeys remain compliant, efficient, and customer‑centric. You will act as a bridge between business, compliance, and IT, with a strong focus on product oversight and governance (POG).Expected DeliverablesUpdated product specifications and customer documentation aligned with regulatory changesRegulatory impact assessments and implementation roadmapsCompliant process flows and system configurations supporting product changesProject dashboards, risk logs, and stakeholder reportsPost‑implementation reviews and lessons learnedRole & ResponsibilitiesProduct & Process Adaptation Collaborate with product owners to adapt life insurance offerings and customer documentation in line with new regulations. Ensure POG guidelines are applied consistently.Project Leadership & Delivery Manage end‑to‑end delivery of regulatory projects, including planning, timelines, budgets, and resources.Regulatory Translation & Impact Analysis Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable product and process changes.Risk & Compliance Alignment Work closely with compliance and risk teams to validate scope and deliverables, ensuring timely execution.Reporting & Communication Provide regular updates to senior management and regulatory bodies. Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and governance committees.Expected ProfileKnowledge:At least 10 years of experience in project or product management within life insurance or financial servicesStrong understanding of Belgian/EU regulatory frameworks (FSMA, NBB, Solvency II, IDD)Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologiesProject management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile) is a plusCompetencies:Proven track record in delivering product‑related regulatory projects on time and within budgetStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to translate complex regulations into practical product solutionsAnalytical, detail‑oriented, and problem‑solving mindsetResilient and adaptable in a challenging regulatory environmentLanguages: Dutch or French, with professional proficiency in EnglishMindset:Client‑ and quality‑orientedStructured, independent, and proactive, while also a strong team playerFast learner, able to work under tight deadlines
