Job Description Customer Experience Solutions is responsible for customer‑facing IT systems of SNCB, including commercial channels and products, passenger information systems, and systems for stations, facilities and buildings. As a Domain Architect you are responsible for the IT architecture of a business domain at enterprise level. You work closely with portfolio management to define roadmaps based on business needs and future target‑state architectures. In projects you assure proper guidance within the established reference architecture, IT vision and strategy. Job Description & Responsibilities Ensure that the architecture of assigned products is sound, well‑understood and evolves to support the business case while following guardrails. Facilitate architectural debate and make conscious decisions with clear trade‑offs and risks, both internally and with client stakeholders. Act as a key partner between business stakeholders, IT managers, enterprise architects, domain architects and delivery teams. Validate solution design and follow up on implementation to guarantee correct architecture. Share knowledge across colleagues. Evaluate project constraints to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and re‑engineer if required. Update stakeholders on any architectural issues. Handle architectural analysis of epics. Job Requirements Master’s in Informatics, Computer Science (or related) or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of relevant experience as solution architect. Familiar with modern architectural paradigms and how to apply them. Broad technical knowledge to collaborate with experts and assess impact of technology choices. Includes: Cloud Solutions Docker and Kubernetes Databases (relational, document, key/value, graph, search, data warehouse) and data engineering frameworks Messaging & eventing systems Connectivity & networking concepts. Communication protocols and technologies (HTTP, WS, REST, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, GraphQL, …). Hands‑on experience designing APIs with Swagger. Hands‑on experience with ArchiMate. Experience managing secure software challenges. Proven software engineering practices (SDLC, devops, etc.) and architecture modelling languages (UML, EER, Swagger, ArchiMate, …). Strong desire to learn, share knowledge, embrace change and draw whiteboard discussions. Team‑player. Affinity for product design and engineering of top‑notch digital products. Ability to handle pressure and flexibility in a dynamic company. Excellent communication skills in technical and layman terms. Languages: Dutch, French, English.
