Job Description:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Analytical Scientist to join our team in Tienen. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality analytical services in support of internal customers across multiple divisions. The successful candidate will bring expertise in Wet Chemistry, Atomic Absorption, TGA, and Gas Chromatography to address technical challenges, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our laboratory processes.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Senior Analytical Scientist, you will be responsible for:

  1. Acting as a key contributor in the laboratory, providing timely and accurate analytical services aligned with customer requirements.
  2. Performing experiments using techniques such as Wet Chemistry, Atomic Absorption, TGA, and Gas Chromatography, while adhering to established methods.
  3. Ensuring all analytical requests are completed within agreed timescales, and results are reported accurately in LIMS.
  4. Monitoring and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  5. Developing and validating new analytical methods and staying informed about emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  6. Independently interpreting data, identifying anomalies, and presenting insights to internal stakeholders.
  7. Collaborating across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.
  8. Upholding safety, health, and environmental guidelines in all laboratory activities.

Experience and Competencies:

What we are looking for:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  2. 3 years of proven experience in an analytical environment.
  3. Strong understanding of analytical methods and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize laboratory techniques.
  4. Precise and accurate approach to ensure reliable and reproducible results.
  5. In-depth knowledge of chemical handling, MSDS, and compliance with safety procedures.
  6. Ability to convey complex information effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  7. Analytical mindset to identify trends, address challenges, and propose effective solutions.
