Position Overview
Daikin Europe is looking for a Facility Engineer to operate in the EDQ (Quality department) of the Development division. This engineer will assist with the execution of projects (investments) and the operational jobs of the test rooms at Ostend and later at Ghent.
Responsibilities
- General upkeep and maintenance of the machine park and test rooms within Ostend.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of maintenance and repair activities of the facility section.
- Support management in health and safety to meet legal obligations and lead continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
- Proactively think about innovations and be responsible for the implementation and coordination of improvement projects.
Your Profile
- Broad interest in construction-technical issues, HVAC, and electrical installations.
- Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering / Industrial Sciences or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of automation is a plus.
- Hands-on mentality with a practical and flexible approach to issues.
- Initiative and responsibility towards assigned projects.
- Strong communication skills to create goodwill with internal & external partners.
- Problem solver with strong planning & organization skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD, with basic knowledge of facility-specific supporting software.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (both written and spoken).
