🔶 Senior Network & Data Centre Consultant (Automation / Cloud / Security) – Brussels | Freelance📍 Location: Brussels (on-site)🕒 Engagement: as from December, Freelance contract - Full-time, 8h/day (occasional on-call), long term🔒 Security Clearance: EU Citizenship with EU ResidenceAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Network & Data Centre Consultant to join a high-impact infrastructure program supporting critical European operations.You will design, optimize, and automate telecom and data centre architectures, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across hybrid and cloud environments.Your mission blends strategic studies, network automation, and hands-on engineering — ideal for an expert who thrives at the crossroads of infrastructure, DevOps, and technology evolution.Your MissionAs part of a multidisciplinary technical team, you will:Strategic & Architecture StudiesConduct architecture and technology studies aligned with business, operational, and environmental goals.Lead proofs of concept, evaluate emerging technologies, and guide migration strategies.Support the assessment of offers and technical specifications.Engineering & OperationsPerform capacity planning, deployment supervision, and performance assessments.Automate configurations and device provisioning through Ansible, NetBox, and CI/CD pipelines.Manage hybrid environments and container networking (Kubernetes / Docker).Provide testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer support.Training & Knowledge SharingIdentify training needs, design courses, and deliver sessions for internal technical teams.Your ProfileWe’re seeking a consultant combining strategic insight and deep technical know-how in telecom and datacentre infrastructures.Core SkillsStrong knowledge of networking and data centre standards, design principles, and industry trends.Experience in network automation, IaC, and DevOps integration.Expertise in Zero Touch Provisioning, PXE boot, device template automation, and containerized tools.Vendor certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, VMware, etc.) are a plus.Technical Environment🧩 Network Automation & DevOpsAnsible, NetBox, GitLab CI/CD, PythonIaC and automated testing for scalable network operationsContainer networking (Kubernetes / Docker)🌐 Networking & DatacentreCisco ACI, NSX-T, Aruba, FortinetSD-WAN, VPN, campus & wireless networksInfoblox (DNS/DHCP/IPAM), routing (BGP, OSPF)Network management: HP IMC, Aruba AirWave, Cisco Catalyst CenterMonitoring: Netscout, Splunk🛡️ Network SecurityFirewalls (Checkpoint, Fortinet), Load Balancing (F5, Radware)Web gateways, WAF, DDoS protection (Bluecoat, Cloudflare)Security orchestration & compliance (IP Fabric)TETRA radio communications (public safety)☁️ Cloud NetworkingAWS / Azure networking, routing, VPN, load balancingWorking ConditionsWork performed on-site in Brussels (including datacentre proximity).Interested?If you’re a Telecom & Datacentre expert passionate about performance, and large-scale network reliability — we’d love to hear from you👉 Apply directly or send your profile to info@nrt-consulting.com
