Junior Financial Controller – 12+ Month Contract – Leuven, Belgium – Competitive Daily Rate (EUR)Our client is seeking a Junior Financial Controller to join their finance function on a long-term contract (12+ months) based on-site in Leuven, Belgium. This role is ideal for a motivated finance professional with up to 2 years of experience looking to deepen their exposure to financial control, regulatory reporting, and cost analysis within a dynamic environment.Contract Details: Duration: 12+ months Location: Leuven, Belgium (on-site) Daily Rate: Competitive (EUR)Key Responsibilities:Coordinate monthly and quarterly closings, including controlling, analysis, and full cost/income reporting.Deliver detailed, driver-based cost analysis and provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.Produce accurate financial statements and manage reporting obligations to financial regulators and authorities.Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure timely follow-up of all open items.Address ad hoc requests and financial queries from various internal business lines.Required Experience & Competencies:Up to 2 years' experience in accounting, financial controlling, or cost controlling.Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate data into clear financial insights.Effective communication skills and a proactive, independent working style.High attention to quality, strong prioritisation skills, and the ability to remain resilient under pressure.Flexible mindset with the capability to support multiple stakeholders.If you are looking to advance your career in financial control and join a collaborative, high-performance environment, we would like to hear from you.
