About the role

Cloud technologies are revolutionizing how businesses operate, with platforms like AWS and Azure leading the charge. As a Cloud Curriculum Manager, you will play a key role in advancing our mission to democratize cloud education.

You'll work closely with our expert instructors and the Cloud Curriculum team, comprising educators, data scientists, and technologists. Your focus will be on expanding our cloud content library with new materials. You'll contribute to courses, practice pools, and projects, acting as a reviewer, thought partner, and advocate for our learners. With a strong technical background in cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, and the ability to influence across functional groups, you will make data-driven decisions and lead complex projects to successful completion.

To be effective in this role, you must have strong technical skills and a sincere interest in educational technology. Responsibilities

In this role, you will focus your time on the following areas:

Content Creation

  1. Develop new and engaging content focused on AWS, Azure, and other cloud technologies.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to add new and creative interactive learning experiences to our cloud content.
  3. Provide critical feedback on specifications for new courses.
  4. Write automated tests in Python to provide personalized feedback for learners.
  5. Use Looker and SQL to make data-driven suggestions for content improvements based on learner feedback and engagement data.

Project Management

  1. Research, plan, and create a strategy for new content (courses) to be developed.
  2. Manage the course development process.
  3. Work closely with course external instructors to make content interactive and engaging.
  4. Effectively set and hold instructors accountable for deliverable deadlines.

Qualifications

  1. Strong technical background with experience in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
  2. Technical skills in SQL and/or Python.
  3. Familiarity with cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
  4. Has a cloud certification in AWS and/or Azure (preferred, but not required).
  5. Enjoys working with other people and interacting with subject matter experts.
  6. Familiarity with interactive technical education platforms like DataCamp or similar providers.
  7. Able to effectively synthesize, visualize, and communicate ideas to others, including non-technical audiences.
  8. Excellent attention to detail.
  9. Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  10. Knows when to push back, challenge an idea, seek out compromise, and do so positively for the company's benefit.
