Als Design Engineer word je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen en verbeteren van (elektro)mechanische en elektronische producten binnen onze productcategorieën: "Fence & Gate-hardware", "Gate Automation", "Hydraulic gateclosers", "Perimeter protection & access control".
Daaronder begrijpen we het volgende:
- Brainstormen rond een concept, ontwerpen in CAD, prototypes (laten) maken, testen opvolgen, tot je een goed product hebt.
- Product bespreken met fabrikanten en productie (DFM, DFA).
- Als design engineer word je, in nauwe samenwerking met de productmanager, verantwoordelijk voor de technische uitwerking van het volledige product, en dit van concept tot eerste productie-run.
- Met een creatieve en efficiënte aanpak vertrek je vanuit een idee of concept, schets je het product, teken je het technisch uit (3D-pakket), doe je de nodige simulaties en testen en volg je de realisatie ervan – in samenwerking met onze interne prototype-afdeling – op.
- Je werkt hierbij nauw samen met andere collega-designers binnen het projectteam en deelt je expertise en inzichten actief met hen. Door je coachende stijl en je focus op samenwerking, bouw je verder mee aan de R&D organisatie.
- Je rapporteert aan de R&D Manager.
Functie-eisen
- Jouw diploma industrieel ingenieur (of gelijkwaardig door ervaring) combineer je met 10 jaar business-ervaring, waarvan verschillende jaren in product design. Hierdoor bezit je ook een goede (basis)kennis in de meest courante productietechnieken, en slaag je er ook in om je snel in nieuwe technieken in te werken.
- Je bent technisch (mechanisch en/of elektromechanisch) onderlegd en bezit een uitstekend logisch-abstract en analytisch redeneervermogen met een sterk 3D-inzicht.
- Je bent gebeten door productontwikkeling, zowel door de technische uitwerking als door de functionele en de design-component.
- Je hebt ervaring met een 3D-CAD software (idealiter Solidworks).
- Je bent een echte teamplayer, positief ingesteld met een 'can-do-attitude'.
- Door de combinatie met sterke project-skills slaag je erin een project on target en on budget te houden en de verschillende (deel-)projecten goed te coördineren.
- Je spreekt Nederlands en Engels.
