afarax is looking for a freelance Network Security Architect. We need you The project: Our client in the public sector, is seeking an experienced Network Security Architect to strengthen their team. Main responsibilities: Define and contribute to the implementation of the organization's cybersecurity strategy in alignment with corporate objectives. Design, develop, and oversee the digital security architecture, ensuring a risk-based approach consistent with enterprise architecture principles. Lead or participate in the creation and execution of the digital security roadmap. Drive or support the evolution of security operations, ensuring capabilities for prevention, detection, response, prediction, and management of security incidents. Contribute to increasing the maturity of security management, strengthening key capabilities in line with the organization's strategic goals. Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure security and privacy by design in all new initiatives. Promote best security practices in software development processes. Is this you? Proven expertise in Cybersecurity and Network Security Architecture. Experience with Mandiant Redline, Microsoft PowerShell, Trellix Endpoint Security, Trellix Mail, and Zscaler. Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk-based architecture principles, and incident management. Experience with security governance, threat prevention, and incident response processes. Familiarity with security operations centers (SOC), SIEM solutions, and endpoint protection tools is a plus. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Experience in the public sector or with federal digital environments is considered an asset. Strategic and analytical mindset with a proactive approach to risk management. Strong collaboration skills and ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven. Capable of working independently while fostering teamwork within a security-driven culture. How afarax supports you?
