Als Tax Officer breng je verslag uit aan onze Group Tax Manager en maak je deel uit van het departement Accounting en Tax binnen Elia Group. Je zult een belangrijke bijdrage leveren aan de groei van onze capaciteiten en vaardigheden op lange termijn en zult een rol spelen in de energietransitie door te analyseren hoe energiebelastingen van invloed kunnen zijn op verbruiks- en investeringskeuzes voor een groenere toekomst. Je maakt deel uit van meerdere belastingafdelingen en je bent onder andere verantwoordelijk voor de implementatie van Groeps- en lokale belastingplichten, de realisatie van onze belastingstrategie (lokaal en van de Groep), de verbetering van de digitalisering van al onze belastingprocessen en de ondersteuning bij bedrijfsprojecten waarbij belastingkwesties een rol spelen.

Je rol en verantwoordelijkheden:
Je belangrijkste taken omvatten het beheer van onze belastingplichten en dagelijkse operationele belastingrapportage, alsook de voortdurende verbetering van de belastinggegevens van Elia. Daarnaast heb je een adviserende rol over zaken binnen jouw vakgebied.

Naleving van boekhoudkundige belastingregels:

  • Je coördineert de maandelijkse afsluitingsactiviteiten en de maandelijkse berekening van de inkomstenbelasting volgens de BE GAAP-normen (basiskennis van IFRS-belastingberekening is zeker een pluspunt).
  • Je stemt accuraat en tijdig uitgestelde belastingposities af en voert daarbij rapportagetaken uit in het kader van de maandafsluiting.
  • Je coördineert de jaarlijkse belastingrapportage richting externe en interne stakeholders en zorgt voor een tijdige aangifte.
  • Je implementeert een solide btw-controlekader en coördineert de implementatie van btw-automatiseringsrapportage.
  • Je bereidt de ramingen voor van de P&L-impact (BE GAAP) van belastingen, en doet dit op basis van begrotingen.
  • Je houdt toezicht op de financierings-/dienstenstromen binnen de Groep en zorgt voor tijdige en adequate belastingrapportage.
  • Je biedt waardevolle inzichten voor financiële planning en zorgt voor de juistheid en nauwkeurigheid van de periodieke financiële rapportage op basis van belastinggegevens.

Belastingautomatisering en risicobeheer:

  • Je stelt verbeteringen voor aan de interne controleprocedures en werkt die uit binnen jouw aandachtsgebieden.
  • Je analyseert, beoordeelt en beheert verschillende verbeterinitiatieven en belastingautomatiseringsprojecten en treedt op als businesspartner voor alle stakeholders (bijv. bedrijfsanalisten, IT-specialisten).
  • Je overziet de interacties met Accounting (IFRS, G/L, A/P en A/R) en ontwikkelt procedures om ervoor te zorgen dat de belastingwetgeving te allen tijde wordt nageleefd.
  • Je biedt ondersteuning bij de afhandeling van belastingcontroles.

Vereisten:

  • Je hebt een masterdiploma in fiscaal recht, accountancy of bedrijfseconomie.
  • Je hebt ten minste 3-6 jaar relevante ervaring in een fiscaal advocatenkantoor, Big4, klein (boutique) accountantskantoor of in een vergelijkbare functie in het bedrijfsleven.
  • Je bent een betrouwbare professional die integer handelt.
  • Je beschikt over sterke analytische vaardigheden en kritisch denkvermogen, je kunt complexe belastingkwesties begrijpen en duidelijke en pragmatische adviezen formuleren voor het bedrijf.
  • Je hebt goede communicatie- en presentatievaardigheden (mondeling en schriftelijk).
  • Je bent creatief, denkt innovatief en bent bereid om met SAP S4/HANA aan de slag te gaan (eerdere ervaring is een pluspunt).
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van Excel en Word.
  • Je wilt jezelf graag ontwikkelen in een internationale omgeving en bijleren over belastingen in de energiesector en onvoorziene gebeurtenissen in deze gereguleerde sector. Je denkt out-of-the-box in deze zeer specifieke omgeving.
  • Je spreekt vloeiend Frans en/of Nederlands en Engels.
