IntroductionFor our client in Antwerp we are looking for an Social Compliance Officer The purpose of the Site Social Compliance officer is to execute administrative tasks to assure compliance of the Belgian labour laws, to assist in investigating potential non-conformities and handling grievances.Organization Reporting: to the Compliance ManageFunctionMonitor subcontractors (CI@W, checkinhoudingsplicht) and escalate red flagsMonitor compliance of documents (A1, Limosa, single permits, etc) based on the law and clients policy and verify labour inspection (RSZ) if necessaryGenerate daily, weekly and monthly reports and follow up on corrective actions with contractorsAssure good data quality Communicate effectively with security dept, (1st Line of Defense)Prepare meetings with contractors, authorities, auditors, etcAssist in spotchecks on siteAssist in the grievance mechanism : investigation engagement and treatment of external complaints and other tasks as requiredRequirementsSpecific Role Requirements unior/medior roleBasic understanding Belgian/EU labour law for migrant workers, or willing to learnStreetwise and accurate, handle sensitive complaints and unbiased attitudeWilling to work 4 out of 5 days on a construction site in the harbour of Antwerp + 1 day WFHexecute weekly internal audits/spot-checks on site with a colleague whole year roundconstruction site experience is a bonusPersonal skillsPassion to protect the vulnerable workers and deliver the most modern cracker of Europe honest and integer, empathic • Hands on attitude, analytical and problem-solving skillsStress-resistant, able to define and prioritize issues and solve pragmaticallySelf-starter and self-resolving skills,Excellent verbal and written Dutch & English, eastern European languages are an advantageThis is a 40/h week full-time position.
