Freelance QA/QC Manager – Food & Beverage (6 months) Location: Belgium (Hybrid/Possible onsite at production facility) Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 6–12 months (extension likely) Rate: Competitive hourly rate (market conform) About the Role We're working with a busy FMCG manufacturer seeking a Freelance QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance efforts, drive compliance with food safety regulations, and support continuous improvement across production processes. Key Responsibilities Own and continuously optimize the Quality Management System (QMS) Lead internal and external food safety audits (BRC/IFS/ISO/BRC compliance) Monitor and ensure compliance with food legislation, including traceability and labeling Manage non-conformities (NCRs), corrective actions (CAPA), and root cause investigations Coach and guide QC teams in sampling, testing, and metrology activities Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain to implement quality improvements Produce and maintain quality documentation, certifications, and technical dossiers Skills & Profile Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field Proven experience in QA/QC roles within food manufacturing/processing Strong analytical mindset with hands-on approach to audits and problem-solving Excellent communicator: strong Dutch, French, and English skills preferred Structured, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset What We Offer Flexible freelance engagement: 6–12 months with potential extension Competitive hourly rate, aligned with market standards Opportunity to drive quality improvements at a leading sustainable food brand Ready to make an impact?
