Job DescriptionQuality Engineer – Product Development & Customer QualityLocation: Belgium (West Flanders)Role Type: Hybrid Industry: HVACSalary: €80,000About the roleLooking for a Quality Engineer to strengthen its quality activities within Product Development and Customer Quality. In this role, you will work closely with R&D, suppliers and production, ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards throughout their lifecycle.The position focuses strongly on technical quality, including drawing reviews, supplier support and problem solving related to customer complaints. As the current Quality Engineer is being replaced, the scope of the role may evolve depending on the technical focus of the new Quality Manager.Key responsibilitiesAct as a Quality Engineer for Product Development, supporting new and existing products from concept to industrialisationAnalyse and resolve customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actionsDetect and correct errors and inconsistencies in 3D and 2D technical drawingsWork with products that are split into Technical (electromechanical) and Aluminium componentsCollaborate closely with R&D, Process Engineering and Production to ensure quality-by-designSupport, assess and visit suppliers, ensuring compliance with DUCO quality requirementsAssist in supplier quality improvement actions and follow-up on corrective measuresContribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and robustnessAdapt to evolving quality expectations and technical focus as defined by the new Quality ManagerRequirements & profileTechnical background (Bachelor or Master level) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related fieldExperience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing or product development environmentStrong ability to read, analyse and validate 3D and 2D technical drawingsKnowledge of aluminium manufacturing processes and/or electromechanical products is a strong assetExperience working with suppliers and R&D teamsHands-on, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skillsFluent in Dutch (spoken and written) and working knowledge of EnglishFlexible and open to change, with the ability to adapt to new technical requirements and management expectations
