THE SEARCH:DRAX Executive is delighted to partner with an organisation that serves as thebackbone of Belgium’s mobile connectivity. The company oversees a wide network of critical broadcast sites and supports operators through stable, long-term agreements. Originating from a major portfolio transfer within the telecom sector, it continues to expand its footprint through committed new-site development.THE ROLE:As Senior Accountant, you will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting and compliance activities. This role is pivotal in consolidating financial data, managing operational and capital expenditures, and supporting strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis.The Senior Accountant acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external service providers, including tax advisors and auditors, while maintaining robust internal controls and aligning financial practices with regulatory standards and business objectives.Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of financial statements in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Oversee monthly management accounts, consolidation reports, VAT returns, and CIS returns (prepare when necessary).Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support management decisions.Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth.Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.Act as primary contact for third-party service providers (tax advisors, auditors, legal advisors).Apply real estate accounting principles (Fixed Assets, ARO provisions, dismantling, Capex vs Opex analysis).Ensure timely preparation of periodic reporting and annual financial statements.Collaborate with tax advisors, review tax computations, and manage filings.Organize invoice payments with external service providers.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts daily.Manage accounts receivable (invoicing, overdue follow-up).Perform balance sheet reconciliations and implement corrections.Oversee bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.THE REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience in real estate accounting with complex matters (essential).Strong knowledge of tax regulations.Solid understanding of Belgian GAAP and best practices.Ability to meet tight deadlines with high accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative team player.Proficiency in Business Central and Power BI.Advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical skills for identifying discrepancies and resolving variances.Ability to interpret complex financial and tax regulations and develop practical solutions.Proactive in identifying risks and inefficiencies, implementing process improvements.Skilled in leveraging financial data for strategic recommendations.
