We're working with a fast-growing AI Medtech scale-up who are aiming to impact patient outcomes through intelligent, human-centric technology. Their platform uses modern Machine Learning to support clinicians, improve diagnostics, and streamline decision-making in real healthcare environments. As they continue to scale, they're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants their work to have real impact in hospitals, clinics, and research centres across the world. Responsibilities Build high-quality, complex applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript Work closely with data scientists to integrate Machine Learning / AI models into production systems Collaborate with product and clinical domain experts to deliver reliable health-tech solutions Architect and improve platform components. Performance, reliability, security, and compliance matter here Mentor engineers and help define coding standards Contribute to technical direction and roadmap planning as part of a small, senior team Your profile Professional experience in software engineering (or equivalent senior-level competency) Deep expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript Strong understanding of modern web tooling, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and cloud environments Experience building and operating production-grade applications Highly desirable: Exposure to Machine Learning / AI (ML pipelines, model deployment, inference optimisation, or similar) Familiarity with medical, regulated, or data-sensitive environments (not required but a plus) Experience with MicroServices, event-based architecture, or scalable backend systems Nice to have: Knowledge of medical data formats (FHIR, DICOM) or healthcare workflows Experience in a scale-up or fast-moving product environment Interest in human-centred design and building products clinicians love The offer Flexible hybrid work out of a brand new Ghent-based HQ Joining a genuinely impactful, and high potential health-car platform Chance to have an increased level of ownership & autonomy, working intimately with the code Opportunity to rapidly progress into a Technical Team Lead in the near future Salary between EUR4.000-EUR7.500 dependent on experience and interview process Full package including mobility options/car Modern technical stack including an AI-powered application
