Lead Quantity Surveyor / Cost Management Lead Location: Farciennes, Belgium Sector: Data Centres Employment Type: Initial two-year fixed term, with strong potential for continuation across future projects. Legal right to work in the country is required We are representing a global construction consultancy supporting some of the most complex and high-value developments across data centres and life sciences. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a senior commercial leader to take ownership of key client accounts and lead major pre-construction cost management programmes. This is a strategic leadership role, combining technical excellence with client relationship management, team leadership, and business development. The Opportunity You will act as a trusted commercial advisor to major international clients, leading cost strategy from early concept through procurement. The role offers significant autonomy, visibility with senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to shape teams and processes within a growing regional business. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary commercial and cost management contact for strategic client accounts Lead cost planning, estimating, and pre-construction commercial strategy on major developments Oversee multiple large-scale projects across international markets and time zones Manage and mentor high-performing cost management teams Drive the preparation of cost plans, QTOs, and BoQs to a high technical standard Establish and implement QA/QC processes for cost deliverables Provide strong leadership across MEP and specialist package costing (MEP focus essential) Support procurement strategy across global project portfolios Contribute to bids, proposals, and wider business development initiatives Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support growth objectives Actively develop client relationships to secure repeat and new business Deliver training and professional development for senior and emerging leaders Experience & Background 15+ years' experience in cost management / quantity surveying, ideally consultancy-side Strong pre-construction expertise on large, complex construction projects Proven experience within data centres and/or life sciences environments Advanced proficiency in CostX (or similar platforms such as Cubicost, PlanSwift, Candy, or ZWCAD) Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build departments, and grow client accounts Strong commercial understanding of global project delivery models Degree-qualified in a construction or cost-related discipline (or equivalent experience) Chartered status (or actively working towards it) Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capability Why Apply?
